Ep. 070: The Importance of Morning Routines

Working from home definitely has it's perks, but it's all too easy to get lazy and complacent and not be productive. We've discovered that having a morning routine helps us ease into the day with the right attitude and have a more productive, less stressful day.

When you run a business from home, it's important to know yourself and honor yourself. For example, Erin is not an early riser. She requires a bit more time to get going in the morning. For Kirsten, however, she can get up and moving but has to take some time to do something non-work-related before diving into her to-do list.

It's more important to give yourself permission and grace to have a routine that works for YOU, not necessarily what works for everyone else. Take lunches out of the house in the middle of the week, run errands, sleep in if you need to...give yourself that balance and you'll have a healthier attitude towards your work.
